About the venue

Built in 1902, Château de l’Encastre is an elegant Belle Époque residence set within 7.5 ha of private grounds on Lac de Saint-Ferréol in the South of France.

Dating from the early 20th century, the Château has retained the charm and character of a historic family residence. Its elegant façade, original proportions and mature surrounding landscape evoke the refined country lifestyle of the Belle Époque, creating a setting that feels both sophisticated and wonderfully authentic.

Today, Château de l’Encastre is available for a limited number of private celebrations and destination weddings each year, allowing couples and their guests to enjoy the estate with a true sense of privacy and exclusivity.

The extensive grounds offer couples the freedom to create a celebration that feels entirely their own. Outdoor symbolic ceremonies can take place in different areas of the estate, surrounded by nature, with a dedicated ceremony and guest arrival area creating a beautiful sense of occasion from the moment guests arrive.

With 7.5 ha of private land, there is generous space for outdoor receptions, dinners, cocktail hours and larger celebrations, as well as dedicated areas for a live band, musicians and entertainment. The grounds also provide plenty of open-air space for children’s activities and supervised entertainment, allowing celebrations to remain elegant while being welcoming for families.

The estate also benefits from direct access towards Saint-Ferréol lake, bringing another distinctive natural element to the setting.

Accessibility has been carefully considered throughout the property, with accessible pathways throughout the gardens, helping guests with reduced mobility move comfortably between the main areas of the celebration and inside the Château.

The venue provides 3 guest toilets, while a spacious dedicated parking area can accommodate up to 500 cars, making the estate particularly suitable for larger celebrations and events.

While the Château itself offers an intimate number of rooms, additional accommodation is easily available nearby. We cooperate with hotels and other accommodation partners within approximately a 10-minute drive of the Château, providing convenient options for wedding guests travelling to the region.

A dedicated local contact person is available on site, together with cleaning staff, helping couples and their planners throughout their stay and celebration.

Surrounded by nature, yet within easy reach of accommodation and local amenities, Château de l’Encastre offers something increasingly rare - 7.5 ha of privacy, historic French character and the freedom to create a truly personal destination wedding.

Here, celebrations are not confined to a single room or terrace. Couples have an entire estate at their disposal — from the Château and gardens to sweeping lawns and the nearby lake — creating a relaxed yet refined setting where French heritage, nature and understated elegance come together.
